Description of the Razer Phone 2 64GB Black
Description of the Razer Phone 2 64GB Black
In 2017, the gaming brand Razer presented their very first smartphone. With the Razer phone, they presented a smartphone that was fully aimed at gaming, so this device had strong hardware and various interesting features. Razer has now presented the Razer Phone 2 Black. This device is once again aimed at gaming, but also at the audio and video fans.
When comparing the first version to this one, you can see a few interesting differences. Razer has chosen to equip this device with a glass casing that supports wireless charging. This improved Razer Phone 2 also has a display that's twice as bright as its predecessor!
Display with 16:9 aspect ratio
While the Razer Phone 2 has a similar display to its predecessor, it does come with a few improvements. The diagonal is 5.7 inches and the screen still has a 2560x1440 pixel resolution, but the brightness has been increased! This display has a refresh rate of 120Hz that makes games and other content look breathtaking. This screen is twice as bright as its predecessor.
High-end processor with cooling system
Qualcomm's superfast Snapdragon 845 chipset is one of the most popular chipsets, and works with the fast Adreno 630 video chip to offer the best performance you can imagine. On top of that, the Razer Phone 2 uses its own cooling system. Razer calls this technique 'Vapor Chamber Cooling'. This way, the processor will stay cool while playing heavy 3D games like Asphalt 9 or PUBG.
Same design, but glass
If you put the Razer Phone and the Razer Phone 2 next to each other, you won't immediately see the difference. However, you will see it if you turn them over, because the new Razer Phone has a glass back cover. The camera module has also been moved to the middle, so the back is now very symmetrical. The well-known Razer logo is displayed on the back, but Razer has added RGB lights so it can light up.
4000mAh battery
The glass back not only looks very stylish, but also allows you to wirelessly recharge the Razer Phone 2, which wasn't possible with the first Razer Phone. Now it's possible to recharge your 4000mAh battery without having to use a cable. Thanks to this large battery, you can spend long hours using your device for intense gaming, watching films, or browsing the internet!
Dual camera and telelens
The back of the device comes equipped with two 12-megapixel Sony cameras. The second camera has a telelens that can use optical zoom without losing any quality. That means the Razer Phone 2 can compete with any other flagship device. The front of the device has an 8-megapixel camera that takes excellent selfies and can be used to make video calls.
IP67 rating: dust and water resistant
According to Razer, a flagship phone should have an IP rating. That's why the Razer Phone 2 Black has an IP67 rating. This means the device is dust and water resistant, so you can easily rinse the phone under the tap or make a phone call in the pouring rain. However, this does not mean the phone is indestructible: taking your device into the pool is a big no-go.
Light-up logo on the back
Razer is a well-known manufacturer of gaming accessories, and that includes coloured LED lights. The Razer Phone 2 has the famous logo on the back, which has the Chroma feature. That means you can make this logo light up in more than 16 million colours. This logo can also be a notification LED for incoming messages, emails, or missed calls.
Optimally enjoy images and sounds
Watching videos or series is a pleasure with the Razer Phone 2. The device comes fitted with two stereo speakers that have Dolby Atmos technology, so every sound is perfect. A unique feature is that the Netflix app is pre-installed on this device. This device features 24bit DAC, so you can optimally enjoy your favourite music with headphones.
Android and Nova Launcher Prime
This black Razer Phone 2 runs on Android, and this device comes with Nova Launcher Prime installed. This launcher is well-known for its versatility and offers a great smartphone experience for every user. This clean skin has only had a few adjustments, so you can get started right away!
