Description of the Doro 8050
On 3 March 2020, Doro presented the Doro 8050. This is a user-friendly senior citizen smartphone that has more to offer than the standard mobile phone. It has a simple interface and a special emergency button. Modern smartphone functions are also available.
For example, this Doro telephone has a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash for high-quality photos and videos. You can view all content on the high-quality, clear, 5.45-inch display. Other unique features include the emergency button, extra loud speakers, and hearing aid compatibility.
Android operating system: easy to use
The Doro 8050 comes with Android 9. This operating system is user-friendly and Doro has adapted the interface especially for the elderly. They made the menus and icons clearly readable. You can download apps and games from the Google Play Store.
Assistance button in case of emergency
Doro has placed a help button on the back of this smartphone. You decide in advance which phone numbers should be warned when the emergency button is pressed. This gives a calm and safe feeling because you can reach someone quickly with this button.
Works with hearing aids
A useful feature that sets the Doro 8050 apart from other smartphones is its compatibility with hearing aids. The two devices are in contact with each other via bluetooth, which is a wireless connection. Older hearing aids may not work with the phone. More explanation and information can be found in the manual.
Large, clear, and high-quality display
The display of the device is 5.45 inches. This is larger than the average senior citizen phone, but still remains relatively handy-sized. And because of this size, everything is easy to read. Moreover, pictures are displayed in high quality thanks to an HD+ screen resolution.
13-megapixel camera for nice photos
On the back of the Doro 8050 you can find a 13-megapixel camera. With this camera you can take nice photos and videos of your children or grandchildren, for example. These are of high enough quality to be shared via whatsapp, email, or Facebook. And thanks to the LED flash you can take clear photos even in low light.
Storage space of 16GB
This Doro smartphone has a storage capacity of 16GB. The operating system takes up a small part of this. The rest is used to store apps, photos, and videos. And if you need more storage space, simply insert a microSD card of up to 128GB into the microSD slot.
